MARCO MOMI
While Italian by birth, Marco Momi is, above all, from a musical thought point of view European. Passionate about composition after his class with Fabio Cifariello Ciardi, the time he spent in Darmstadt was decisive; as were the years he spent studying in The Hague (Netherlands) and in IRCAM's Cursus program with Yan Maresz. "My path has never seemed very clear or very linear to me, be it my training or my aesthetic progression. I was lucky to meet and study with composers far from my genetic characteristics, with whom I sometimes had very difficult, but always honest, relationships. I never tried to find teachers with a sensibility similar to my own. This let me be freer."
