With this unique multidisciplinary manifestation, the Centre Pompidou examines different artistic practices through which the question of "poor" has been raised from the 1960s onwards: fine arts, of course with arte povera, but also music, architecture, theater, and experimental film.
Developed in collaboration with the departments at the Centre Pompidou, and notably with IRCAM, the manifestation is based on the collection of the musée national d’art modern (national museum of modern art) that holds one of the largest ensembles of arte povera in the world. This event finds a wide range of extensions through the 2016 edition of ManiFeste, IRCAM's annual rendezvous, but also in the museum's galleries where several works question the contemporary echoes of these different, poor, practices.
