In connection with the exhibit "Un art pauvre" at the Centre Pompidou

In this solo, the choreographer takes on Monteverdi's Si Dolce è'l Tormento and 12 madrigals by Salvatore Sciarrino. Fragments of Monterverdi's poem of thwarted love are heard in almost 14 different versions. Proximity beyond centuries of vocal figuration, and beyond disciplines, (sweet) (bitter) reveals the fundamental relations between music and Thomas Hauert's choreographic research with dance. No, this is not reality. It can be performed in non-traditional spaces, but that is not the main idea of the solo.
